If you enjoyed the game and wish for more bloody pixelated action, I've got a good news for you. The next Haunted Lands game is released and for sure has a lot of it. To be specific, a giant new “Burial Grounds” mission has couple of times more content than this version does, including new levels, enemies, and bosses. There are also two new playable characters with unique playstyle and existing two learned some new tricks.

If you liked the game but also were frustrated by some of it obvious flaws such as difficulty spikes and level design, there are some good news for you as well. The game won’t throw hordes of enemies on you from the start (but still will, eventually). There are plenty of changes to enemy and player balance, less restrictions relating to character deaths. Combat arenas are generally larger and have more room to maneuver. The game should feel more honest and balanced. Hopefully.

Oh, and there’s whole new artifact system which allows to negate weaknesses or increase strength of your character.

There is a lot of other changes, the general intent was to create new game as more original, less a fan-game, while also keeping what made the current one fun and enjoyable.
